Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify some of the products that are sold in different shops around the local area, a template to record where to buy different products from shops found in the local area and a set of cards to record some of the products that can be sold in different shops close to the school.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore some of the different journeys that can be made in the local area when going shopping.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare some of the different journeys that could be taken in the local and wider community. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
