Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to explore the sequence of events in a story from the Bible about how John the Baptist spread news about Jesus to his followers and a worksheet to read and reflect on a prayer about how to share news about special events with others.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how the prophet John the Baptist spread news to his followers about the arrival and importance of Jesus.
This assembly can support development in learning about the sequence of events in the Easter story and support reflection and discussions about how and why Jesus was crucified by the Romans.
