Lesson Six – Skills Training

This physical education teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to demonstrate and teach passing, dribbling and shooting basketball skills to other classes in the school.

Activities in this teaching pack include a set of display posters to identify and describe the most effective instructions to use when teaching a range of different basketball skills for passing, dribbling and shooting to other classes in the school.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to teach passing, dribbling and shooting basketball skills to other classes in the school.
This lesson is part of a PE scheme of work to get the children to practise and develop the range of skills needed to pass, dribble and shoot a basketball as part of a team game. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
