Lesson Two – Class Books

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and locate books on different topics that can be used in the classroom and a set of cards to find and group matching sets of non-fiction books that can provide information about a range of topics and themes.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to locate, describe and categorise different types of books that can be used in the classroom.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify the location and function of different objects used in the classroom and explore how to formulate rules to manage the classroom safely.
