Lesson Five – Under Stones and Logs

This curriculum topic teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify, describe and count some of the different types of creatures that live in a special habitat that can be found around the school grounds.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe some of the animals that can be found living under stones and logs, a worksheet to count and record numbers of creatures that can be found in a particular habitat in the school grounds and a template to record information about a mini-beast living in a habitat in the school grounds to accompany a model.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to identify and count some of the different types of creatures that live in a habitat in the school grounds.
