Moses

This religious education scheme of work for Key Stage One gets the children to identify, record and illustrate the sequence of events that occurred during the story of Moses from the Old Testament. The class can select rules for others to follow based on the Ten Commandments handed to Moses by God.

Lesson Three : Moses and the Hebrews
Investigate and illustrate how Moses helped the Hebrews to escape from slavery in Egypt when exploring a story from the Bible

Lesson Four : Ten Commandments
Investigate and record the different commandments that were issued by God to the Hebrews about how to live their lives by following a set of special rules

Lesson Five : Family Commandments
Explore how to select and record some different rules for families to follow based on a story about Moses in the Bible about the God issuing the Ten Commandments

Lesson Six : Story Play
Devise and perform a puppet show to illustrate the sequence of events in a story from the Bible about what happened to Moses when he helped the Hebrews escape from Egypt
