Lesson Five – Celebrating Easter

This religious education teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to investigate, describe and record some of the different ways that Christians celebrate Easter to remember the life of Jesus.
The class can select and print designs of shapes to represent different parts of the Easter story to use on wrapping paper for gifts to celebrate this time of the year.

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify the sequence of events in a story from the Bible about what happened to Jesus at Easter and a template to select and print designs of shapes to represent different parts of the Easter story.

This lesson is part of a religious education scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and illustrate how families can demonstrate and celebrate their beliefs about God through special religious celebrations at Easter. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
