Lesson Three – What Rooms

Activities in this teaching pack include a set of cards to sort a range of different objects into groups to match rooms found in a family home and a template to list and record some of the objects that can be found in different rooms such as a kitchen or bedroom.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore some of the special objects that can be found in different rooms in a family home.
This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to investigate, describe and compare some of the different types of homes found in the local area around the school environment. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
