Lesson One – Christian Creation

This religious education teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to investigate and record some of the special beliefs that are held by Christians about the creation of the world as described in the Bible.
The class can explore and illustrate the sequence of events in the book of Genesis from the Bible which detail how God created the world over six days with the seventh day for rest.

Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to explore the sequence of events in the book of Genesis from the Bible which detail how God created the world, a worksheet to answer questions to different comprehension questions about a story from the Bible about creation and a template to identify and record the sequence of events in the creation story from the book of Genesis in the Bible.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore and record some of the special beliefs held by Christians about the creation of the world.
This lesson is part of a religious education scheme of work to get the children to investigate and illustrate some of the stories that have been told by different groups and communities about the creation of the world. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
