Unit H – Multiplication Numbers

This maths scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to explore and illustrate the properties of numbers to support multiplication calculations including prime, square and cube numbers and multiplication facts to derive division quotients. Lesson One : Prime Numbers
Select, identify and record whether different numbers to one hundred can be classified as prime or composite numbers

Lesson Two : Square Numbers
Model how to use pictorial diagrams and multiplication calculations to prove whether different numbers can be classified and recorded as square numbers

Lesson Three : Cube Numbers
Practise using the correct multiplication mental number calculations to identify and illustrate examples of different cube numbers

Lesson Four : Multiplication Facts
Identify and record different number equations that can be derived using other multiplication calculations when multiplying numbers by ten, one hundred and one thousand

Lesson Five : Division Puzzles
Identify and illustrate some of the different multiplication number facts that can be used to support division of other numbers
