Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe the meaning behind a Stone Age monument built in the past, a set of cards to suggest ways of completing research to identify facts about the past as true or false and a template to select and record information about a model of a Stone Age artefact.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore some of the reasons as to why people built different monuments during the Stone Age.

This lesson is part of a history scheme of work to get the children to investigate and record how different aspects of life in prehistoric Britain developed and changed during the Stone Age. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
