Lesson One – Bronze Age Exhibition

This history teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to investigate and present facts and information about some of different artefacts that were developed and produced during the Bronze Age in a school exhibition.

The class can list and record key questions that historians can use to identify how and why different artefacts were used in the Bronze Age for specific functions.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe some of the different artefacts that were made and used during the Bronze Age, a table display card to practise using key questions to identify and investigate Bronze Age tools and weapons and a template to select and record information about a Bronze Age artefact to present in an exhibition.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore and record information about some of different artefacts that were developed and produced during the Bronze Age.

This lesson is part of a history scheme of work to get the children to research and illustrate how life in Britain developed and changed during the Bronze Age including the growth of communities and trade. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
