Local Area

This geography scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to identify, describe and compare some of the political and physical features that can be found around the school’s neighbourhood. The class can record arguments for and against an improvement that might be constructed in the local area.

Lesson Four : Local Leisure
Identify and describe some of the different locations in the local are that are used for leisure and recreation by families

Lesson Five : Local Shopping
Investigate, locate and compare some of the different shops that can be found in the local area

Lesson Six : Local Changes
Identify and review the impact of different changes that could be made to the local environment
