This geography teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to explore how to identify, taste and evaluate some different samples of Italian foods to describe and compare life in Italy with another location.
The class can select and review some different foods by their appearance and taste and suggest how they can be used to make a range of special meals for an Italian holiday experience.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to describe some different types of foods that can be used to make a range of meals in Italy, a worksheet to select and record observations about the appearance and taste of different Italian foods and a vocabulary word bank to identify and describe some special Italian foods.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to identify, taste and evaluate samples of some different Italian foods to explore life in Italy.
This lesson is part of a geography scheme of work to get the children to explore and record how cities and other locations in Italy are physically and politically the same or different from similar places in the United Kingdom.
