European Countries

This geography scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to investigate the different political and physical features that can be found in countries that are part of the continent of Europe. The class can complete postcards and holiday brochures to record the similarities and differences between different locations.

Lesson Two : Mountains, Lakes and Rivers
Practise using an atlas to identify and describe the location of some of the different physical features that can be found in countries on the continent of Europe

Lesson Three : Mystery Country
Select and record quiz questions to describe some of the physical and political features that can be found in countries that are part of Europe

Lesson Four : Weather Postcards
Design and produce a series of postcards to describe the climate and weather that can be found in different European countries

Lesson Five : European Vacation
Investigate how to produce a holiday brochure using maps to describe one of the special countries that can be found in Europe

Lesson Six : Europe Quiz
Devise and record a selection of true and false question about some of the different countries that can be found in Europe using maps
