Unit C – Robots and Adventures

This English scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to investigate the text structures and content of explanations and recounts and plan and write matching texts, explore and use spellings of words with cious and tious word endings and use colons to mark the boundary between sentence clauses.

Identify and record some of the different parts of a recount text that can support a range of matching viewpoints about its content and structure

Identify and describe how to compose and present an example fictional recount describing what happened during an expedition to a dangerous location
