Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify adjectives and prepositions used to describe nouns in sentences about pancakes and differentiated worksheets to select nouns, adjectives and prepositions to use in sentences describing pancakes that can be eaten on Shrove Tuesday.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to use expanded noun phrases to illustrate and specify toppings and fillings for different pancakes.
