Future Worlds
Explore how to compose science fiction stories to describe how the world might change in the future, practise composing recounts about space travel and write poems using figurative language to describe celestial objects

(F) Time Machine
Investigate themes and narrative conventions in fantasy story writing, punctuate sentences using commas, brackets and convert words into verbs using suffixes based on The Time Machine, H G Wells

(G) Science Fiction
Plan and write a science-fiction story using matching narrative text features, punctuate sentences using dashes and model how to convert words into verbs using suffixes

(H) Space Exploration
Read and write recounts of space exploration from different viewpoints, investigate the spelling of words with the suffix ify and link ideas across paragraphs using adverbials of time

(I) Space Travel
Read and write recounts about space travel for different purposes, investigate spelling of words with ant endings and use adverbials in sentences to describe landscapes

(J) Space Language
Use formal and informal language to support writing recounts, use rules to spell words with ant and ent endings and add adverbials to sentences order and sequence sentences punctuated using semi-colons
