Noughts and Crosses Twos

This maths teaching pack for Key Stage One gets the children to play paired games to identify and match different numbers that are multiples of two by counting in twos.

The class can explain and model how to count in steps of two using pictorial diagrams to identify the matching products to complete the calculations needed to win the game.

Activities in this teaching pack include a game board to use when playing a game matching products in the two times table and a set of cards to select different calculations in the two multiplication table to complete when counting in steps of twos to find each product to match to numbers on the game board.

The interactive presentation gets the children to practise counting in steps of two to identify the matching products in the two multiplication table that can be used when playing a paired number game.

This lesson can support development in learning how to count in twos to identify number facts in the two multiplication table. There are teaching worksheets to support independent learning and an interactive presentation to introduce concepts and key skills.
