Addition Number Sets

This maths scheme of work for Key Stage One gets the children to identify and model how to calculate the addition sums for sets of single digit numbers using concrete objects and pictorial diagrams to support calculations. The class can explain how to use counting on to calculate each addition sum.

Three More
Identify and record the matching number sums that are three more than different numbers to ten, twenty and thirty by using counting on and concrete objects to complete each calculation

Square Addition Numbers
Select and record matching sets of four numbers that make different sums to twenty using concrete objects and pictorial diagrams to record each calculation

Triangle Addition Numbers
Select and record matching sets of three numbers that make different sums to twenty using concrete objects and pictorial diagrams to record each calculation

Number Dartboard
Practise playing games games to explore how to add different sets of single digit numbers that can make a range of matching totals to ten, twenty and thirty
-
