Lesson Two – Fences, Gates, Walls

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to describe some of the shapes and patterns that can be seen on different objects and a set of cards to select and print examples of repeating shape patterns to match farm fences, gates and walls.
The interactive presentation can be used to explore and model different ways of printing repeating patterns to replicate parts of a farm.
This lesson is part of an art and design scheme of work to get the children to practise and demonstrate different techniques when printing a range of shapes and patterns that can reflect themes and ideas related to farming. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
