School Friends

This curriculum topic scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify and learn classroom routines and organisation by exploring and describing information and likes and dislikes for each of their classmates. The class can compile lists of resources needed to complete an lesson or topic.

Lesson One : Classmates
Explore how to describe, compare and record the personal appearance of some of the different pupils that are part of the class

Lesson Two : Hobbies and Sports
Investigate how to identify and describe some of the special hobbies and sports that can be enjoyed and completed by different pupils in the class

Lesson Three : Favourites
Practise producing and presenting lists using pictograms to record favourite objects belonging to different pupils in the class

Lesson Four : Helping Others
Explore, role-play and record some of the different ways of helping and supporting other pupils in the class in a range of situations and scenarios

Explain and model how to find and record the halves of some of the different objects that can be used at home and in school
