Lesson Two – World Foods

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to define vocabulary words that can be used to describe different foods, a worksheet to identify and record preferences for different types of food from around the world and a template to select and record special foods for a family meal that are the same colour.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to taste and describe foods from different countries by their size, colour and shape.
This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify and describe some of the different colours that can be used when buying, preparing and making foods for a range of meals. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
