Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe different ways of making a happy family, a worksheet to select and record one of the special ways that someone can use to support their family at home and templates to produce collages using different materials to show members of a family.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to describe and record the similarities and differences that can be found between a range of family groups.
This lesson is part of a personal and social education scheme of work to get the children to investigate and illustrate some of the special ways that members of a family can use to support each other in different events and experiences. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
