Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to describe characters and settings to match a narrative story, a template to record the name and appearance of a story character that might feature in a specific narrative setting and a set of cards to record story settings to match different characters.
The interactive presentation gets the children to identify and describe some of the special characters that they could read about in a narrative story to match a specific location and event.
This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to identify and describe some of the special characters, locations and events that can occur in narrative stories with fantasy settings. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
