Family Stories
This literacy scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to explore and record the narrative sequence of events in stories with familiar settings about some of the special things that can happen in a family. The class can use storyboards to illustrate what can happen in each narrative story.
Clothes Shopping
Explore how to identify, record and sequence some of the events that can happen in a narrative story with a familiar setting about a family shopping trip to buy some clothes
Dinnertime
Investigate how to record and sequence example sentences to describe something that happened during a family meal as part of a narrative story
Seaside Visit
Practise selecting and recounting events and writing narrative captions to describe some of the special things that might happen on a family holiday to the seaside
