Unit F – Family Holiday

This literacy scheme of work for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify and recount events and experiences to describe what happened when on holiday at the seaside using sentences in the past tense. The class can compose sentences to use in postcards describing what happened during a holiday.

Practise writing sentences and word phrases to recount some of the special events and experiences that might happen on a family holiday to the seaside

Lesson Four : Tongue Twisters
Practise composing and performing some different tongue twisters about special family holidays using matching initial sounds for each set of words in the poems

Lesson Five : Holiday Diary
Practise using past tense vocabulary words in example sentences to describe some of the special things that might happen during a family visit to the seaside
