Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to practise listening and recognising different numbers that have been included in a story, a worksheet to record numbers that they can be heard in different sentences and a set of cards to listen and perform different actions to match numbers to twenty.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to listen and respond to sentences that contain actions and information about numbers.

This lesson is part of a literacy scheme of work to get the children to develop and refine listening skills when practising how to follow commands and instructions when playing games and role-playing actions.
