Lesson One – Trolleys and Baskets

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe some of the products sold in different aisles in a supermarket, a set of cards to select and sort different types of products that can be bought in a supermarket into matching groups and a template to record lists of shop products that could be bought to match different characters.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to describe and record different groups of products that are sold in a supermarket.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare the range of products that can be sold in a supermarket and role-play buying and paying for shopping lists.
