Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe different ways that products can be packaged and sold in a supermarket, a set of cards to sort between types of bottles used to store different items in a supermarket and a template to produce the design of a label for a type of food that can be sold in a supermarket.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to sort different types of foods sold in a supermarket into groups by their packaging.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare the range of products that can be sold in a supermarket and role-play buying and paying for shopping lists.
