Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify places that can be visited using different forms of transport, a set of cards to describe some of the journeys that their family could make to different places and a template to record transport and objects to match a specific location that they can visit with their family.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore some of the different journeys that can be made to a range of locations by families for a range of purposes.
This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare some of the different journeys that could be taken in the local and wider community. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
