Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to explain how to use vocabulary to describe the position and direction of different objects and a set of cards to identify and describe the position of different locations and rooms that can be found around the school.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore some of the different journeys that can be made around the school building for a range of purposes.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify, describe and compare some of the different journeys that could be taken in the local and wider community. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
