This curriculum topic teaching pack for the Foundation Stage gets the children to identify, describe and compare some of the different journeys that could be taken in the local and wider community. The class to explore how they might travel to different places with their family for a range of purposes.

Describe and record some of the different journeys that can be made in the local area when going shopping for a range of products

Lesson Five : Quick and Slow
Identify, describe and compare ways of travelling to a range of locations in the local and wider community for different purposes

Lesson Six : Visits and Trips
Explain and model how to compose letters to describe a range of journeys that can be made to different locations by families on a special day out
