Lesson Four – Helping Others

The class can practise producing medals to thank someone else for their help and support at school such as supporting classroom work and providing emotional support.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to explore some of the different ways of helping and supporting other pupils in the class and a template to make a medal to thank some other pupils in the class for their help and support in different situations and scenarios.

This lesson is part of a curriculum topic scheme of work to get the children to identify and learn classroom routines and organisation by exploring and describing information and likes and dislikes about each of their classmates. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
