Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to identify vocabulary used to describe colours, shapes and sounds of fireworks in a poem about Bonfire Night, a word bank to select special vocabulary to use in a poem describing fireworks and a template to work with when composing lines for a poem describing the sights and sounds of fireworks.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to select and use vocabulary to describe sights and sounds that might be experienced on the fifth of November.
