Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe sounds made by animals at different pitches and a set of cards to select and sort a range of sounds that can be made using high and low pitches when working with percussion instruments.

This lesson is part of a music scheme of work to get the children to select, compose and play some of the different sounds using high and low pitches that can be made by ships and boats when at sea and in harbours. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
