Lesson Three – Holiday Sentences

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to use the suffix ed to convert sentences from the present to the past tense about different holiday events and experiences.
This lesson is part of an English scheme of work to get the children to read and write recounts to use on postcards reporting the weather experienced on different family holidays, practise adding the suffix ed to word roots to indicate the past tense in sentences and investigate punctuation that can be used for statements and questions. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
