Lesson Six – Digestion Rap

This science teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to compose and perform a rap to illustrate and explain each of the different steps in the digestive process that is used to extract nutrients from food.

The class can identify and sequence a set of sentences to show what happens when food is digested in the human body to utilise when building lines and verses for rap poems.

Activities in this teaching pack include a display poster to identify and describe each step in the process of food digestion, a set of cards to sequence each of the main stages in the digestive system and a vocabulary word bank to use when composing and performing a rap to illustrate and explain the different steps in the digestive process.
