Lesson Three – Pasta Sauces

This design technology teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to identify, describe and compare the taste of different sauces that can be used when preparing a recipe for a pasta meal with an Italian theme.

The class can select, define and list special vocabulary words that can be used to describe the taste, colour and texture of each tasted sauce for a pasta recipe.

This lesson is part of a design technology scheme of work to get the children to design and prepare a recipe for a pasta salad for an airline meal using different foods that are grown and produced in Italy.
