Lesson Five – Pot Handles

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and explain techniques that can be used to add different shapes to clay pots, a shared reading text to follow a set of instructions to add a handle to a clay pot reflecting life in Ancient Greece and a template to select and record the design shape for different handles that can be added to a clay pot.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to add different shapes to develop the design of a pot reflecting life in Ancient Greece in the past to show their special customs, traditions and stories.
