Lesson Three – Body Changes

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify some of the special ways of looking after the human body and a template to select and record a range of non-standard measurements for different parts of their body such as arm length and feet sizes.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore ways that people grow and change using a range of different measurements and observations.

This lesson is part of a science scheme of work to get the children to identify and describe how humans change as they grow from children into adults including changes to appearance, height and abilities in performing different activities. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
