Christmas Beads

This art and design teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to combine and manipulate sets of beads to design and make hanging decorations to show a selection of shapes that can represent Christmas.
The class can research colours, shapes and patterns used in other decorations to develop ideas for their own artwork when using beads to make a Christmas shape.

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe some of the special shapes used in different Christmas decorations and a template to select a shape to represent Christmas by joining sets of materials to make a decoration.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to combine and shape sets of beads to design and make hanging decorations for a Christmas tree.
