Lesson One – Number Towers

Activities in this teaching pack include differentiated sets of cards to select and record how to multiply different single digit numbers by three using concrete equipment and pictorial diagrams to model each of the calculated multiplication products.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore and record how to count in threes to calculate different products in the three multiplication table.
This lesson is part of a maths scheme of work to get the children to learn and recall the number facts in the three and four times tables to utilise when solving abstract and contextual problems involving multiplication and division calculations.
