Unit D – Addition Calculations

This maths scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to practise using standard written methods of addition calculation to solve abstract and contextual problems working with sets of four and five digit numbers. The class can identify the sums needed to complete different steps in each calculation.

Lesson Four : Game Scores

Explore and record how to solve problems using standard written methods of columnar addition of five digit numbers with exchange between place values

Lesson Five : Addition Races
