Length Measurements

This maths scheme of work for Key Stage Two gets the children to practise estimating, measuring and converting the lengths of different objects working with measurements in millimetres, centimetres and metres. The class can explain number skills that can be used when converting between different units for length.

Classroom Lengths
Identify and record the lengths of different objects that can be found around the classroom to match and convert measurements recorded in centimetres into metres

Practise measuring and recording the lengths of a range of different parts of a car using measurements that have been recorded in matching centimetres and millimetres

Plant Measurements
Estimate, measure and record the lengths of different parts of a plant using measurements in units for centimetres and millimetres
