Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to explain how to use artefacts to research the past about some of the different sports that were played at the Ancient Greek games, a shared reading text to identify and describe some of the events that took place during the games and a template to present an illustration and text about one of the events that took place in the past.

This lesson is part of a history scheme of work to get the children to explore the development of the Olympic Games that began during the history of Ancient Greece and make comparisons with modern competitions.
