Activities in this teaching pack include a table display card to help select different relative clauses to use when editing sections from a story and a set of cards to match different word phrases to sentences from an adventure story using the correct relative clauses.

The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to edit sections from a story changing from the first to the third person and extending sentences by adding relative clauses.

This lesson is part of an English scheme of work to get the children to investigate the main characters, settings and sequence of events in an adventure story by a significant ’s author that takes place in a rainforest location.
