Activities in this teaching pack include a shared reading text to explain how to structure and format a letter for a specific purpose, a worksheet to select and record personal and academic targets for the forthcoming school year and a template to format and structure a letter about personal and academic targets in the new school year.
The interactive presentation gets the children to explore how to write a personal letter outlining hopes and aspirations for the forthcoming school year.
This lesson is part of an English scheme of work to get the children to practise composing and publishing letters to different members in the school community for a range of functions and purposes.
