Lesson Two – Shape Printing

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to identify and describe some of the colours and shapes that have been used on flags from different countries and differentiated templates to select and record some of the different shapes that can be printed using a range of materials.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore and record some of the patterns that can be created when printing using different shaped objects.

This lesson is part of an art and design scheme of work to get the children to practise and refine different techniques when printing colours, shapes and patterns to design flags to match specific locations. There are teaching activities for shared learning, differentiated worksheets to support independent learning and interactive presentations to introduce concepts and key skills.
