Lesson Three – Mask Design

This art and design teaching pack for Key Stage Two gets the children to practise selecting a range of different shapes and colours that can be used to construct a dragon mask that has been made from papier mache.

The class can identify and describe how dragons have been represented in other pieces of artwork to incorporate in their own designs of a matching dragon mask.

Download this teaching pack including a lesson plan, classroom activities and an interactive presentation to practise selecting a range of different shapes and colours that can be used to construct a dragon mask that has been made from papier mache

Activities in this teaching pack include display posters to explain how to use shapes, colours and patterns in artwork representing a dragon and a template to select and record a range of different shapes and colours that can be used to construct a dragon mask made from papier mache.

The interactive presentation can be used to explore how to select a range of different shapes and colours that can be used to construct a dragon mask made from papier mache.
